I was absolutely delighted to nominate 5-year-old Ivy Foster for the Bersted Parishioner of the Year (Under 18) Award in recognition of her incredible fundraising efforts for The Little Princess Trust and so pleased that she received her award at the local Electors meeting tonight.

Ivy, who has always cherished her long hair, made the brave decision to donate at least 12 inches of it to help children undergoing cancer treatment. Her goal was to raise £700—the cost of creating and fitting one real-hair wig for a child. Thanks to the generosity of supporters, Ivy has already surpassed this target, raising £1,225.  

Now, she’s aiming to reach £1,400 to fund two wigs, doubling the impact of her heartfelt gesture. Every additional donation brings her closer to this new goal and helps provide confidence and comfort to children facing the challenges of hair loss due to cancer and I would welcome my followers to support Ivy and this fantastic cause.
