Kingley Gate Charity Fun Day

This weekend I had the pleasure of spending the day at the Kingley Gate Charity Fun Day, helping to run the ever-popular coconut shy stall! It was brilliant to see so many local families, neighbours and friends come together to support such a worthwhile cause – Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice.

Chestnut Tree House provides incredible care to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across Sussex and South East Hampshire. They offer vital support not only to the children who need specialist care, but also to their families – providing respite, emotional support, and a peaceful environment in the most difficult of times. Their work is compassionate, dignified and deeply valued by so many across our community.

It was wonderful to chat with Kingley Gate residents throughout the day and to see the spirit and togetherness that make this community so special.

I want to say a big thank you to the organisers, volunteers, and everyone who came along. Events like this are what community is all about – neighbours supporting neighbours, and a shared commitment to doing something positive.

As your local councillor for Kingley Gate, I’m proud to represent such a caring and engaged community. I’ll continue working hard to make sure our area has the support, services and attention it deserves.

If you have ideas for future community events or local improvements, I’d love to hear from you — please do get in touch.
